Pontefract Races continues its commitment to Autism Friendly Race Days across every 2026 fixture
Pontefract Racecourse is once again showing what meaningful inclusion looks like in British racing, with a continued commitment to Autism Friendly Race Days across every fixture in 2026.
Working alongside Autism In Racing, Pontefract has made accessibility a consistent part of its raceday experience. This continued commitment means autistic racegoers, families, carers and supporters can attend with greater confidence, knowing that autism-friendly support will be available throughout the season.
For Autism In Racing, this is exactly the kind of progress the sport needs. True inclusion is built through consistency, planning and a willingness to make racecourses more welcoming for people who may experience the raceday environment differently.
Pontefract’s 2026 Autism Friendly Race Days will take place across the following fixtures:
Friday, 22 May 2026
Tuesday, 2 June 2026

All of these dates are proudly sponsored by Future Ticketing, whose support helps make this programme possible throughout the year. Their support across every Pontefract fixture demonstrates a clear commitment to helping racing become a more inclusive and welcoming sport.
Autism Friendly Race Days are designed to help reduce barriers for autistic visitors and their families. For many people, a busy raceday can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Noise, crowds, unfamiliar spaces and changes in routine can all make attending large public events more challenging.
By continuing to work with Autism In Racing, Pontefract is helping to create a raceday environment where more people feel considered, supported and able to enjoy the sport.
Autism In Racing is proud to continue working with Pontefract Racecourse and grateful to Future Ticketing for sponsoring each of these fixtures. Together, this partnership is helping to make racing more open, more thoughtful and more accessible for autistic people and their families.
We look forward to welcoming racegoers to Pontefract throughout the 2026 season.
